Prior to working at washingtonpost.com, I questioned why a fuzzy, cuddly panda made frequent appearances on the homepage. It puzzled me so much that I asked the metro staff during my interview, “What’s the deal with the panda??”
After spending three years on the metro desk, it is now clear why a panda appeared on the homepage any chance it got to display it’s shiny fur coat online. Click, click click!! I still remember when Tai Shan turned one.
